Will I have to remove Windows to install Linux ?

No, you do not need to remove your windows or any other operating system in order to install Linux. Linux has a very strong boot loader, GRUB. Grub supports many operating systems. GRUB resides in the MBR and can point to more than one operating systems. Thus Linux and Windows or Linux and Linux or Linux and other operating systems can stay together on a computer.
